Cathedral of Lights-Ghent, Belgium

The 2012 Light Festival in Ghent, Belgium was host to almost 30 exhibitions including plenty of 3D projection mapping, fields of luminous flowers, and a glowing phone booth aquarium, however with 55,000 LEDs and towering 28 meters high the Luminarie De Cagna, with arches reminiscent of Romanesque and Renaissance architecture with a modern twist of LEDs , is quite an impressive enchanted wonderland of light and color.
Luminarie De Cagna is an Italian family business founded in 1930. On festive occasions the  company illuminated buildings and squares with oil and carbide lamps. This was quickly switched to electric lights, and since 2006 only LEDs are used for new projects.
